Meet the owners
At the heart of it all, we’re just three women who believe in books, in people, and in doing life together. We’re so glad you’re here.

Co-Owner
Kelsey
Kelsey is a wife, mom of two, and the heart behind a successful photography business she’s built over the past 12 years. She grew up in the charming town of Mentone and has spent most of her life investing in the Fort Payne community she loves. A big believer in the magic of stories, whether told through a camera lens or the pages of a book, Kelsey gravitates toward reads that feel like a warm hug. She especially loves heartwarming tales, magical realism, and anything with a cozy rom-com twist. BOOKCLUB is her dream come to life: a space to connect, unwind, and share the joy of books with others.

Co-Owner
Haley
Haley is a wife, mom to four kids and a foster child, and the owner of Valley Head Bread, a sourdough baking company. She’s a book club queen, always juggling several at once, and loves nothing more than deep conversations and a good story. A longtime homeschooling mom, she fills her days with books, baking, and creativity. She especially loves middle grade fiction, beautifully illustrated picture books, and the cozy charm of the first day of fall. For Haley, stories (like sourdough) are meant to be shared.

Co-Owner
Jill-Curry
Jill-Curry is a wife, mom of ten, art teacher, and lifelong lover of stories. She was born and raised in the small town of Cleveland, Mississippi, where good music, rich food, and strong community shaped her from the start. Her love of cookbooks began early, drawn to their quiet magic and the way they brought people together. Through food, she found storytelling, and through storytelling, she found connection. Today, she’s an avid reader and cook who loves classics, thrillers, historical fiction, southern gothic, and, of course, cookbooks.

HOW WE CAME TO BE
BOOKCLUB was born from a deep friendship, a shared love of reading, and a desire to build something meaningful for our community. The idea took root a while ago after two of us met through a book club, our favorite night of the month. It wasn’t just about the books; it was the laughter, the perspective-shifting conversations, and the sense of belonging that kept us coming back.
As longtime friends raising our families side by side, we’ve spent a long time encouraging one another, trading stories, and passing around our favorite reads. We dreamed about creating a place where that same magic could happen every day, a space that feels like home for curious minds and kind hearts.
